Regent Street watch shop robbers – astonishing video placed with Mail Online
One delivery driver was stunned when he checked his dash cam. While he was away from his bike, his dash cam had recorded an astonishing robbery taking place at a watch shop.
The audacious swoop on the Watches of Watches of Switzerland shop in London’s Regent Street by a gang on mopeds had already made headlines around the world.
But the bike’s webcam showed in detail how passers-by had fought back. One man had even swung a delivery trolley at the raiders as they tried to escape, while others tried to tackle the robbers to the ground as they fled. Three other passers-by also joined in with one brave individual running straight towards a getaway bike forcing the suspect to ditch it and run off towards the jewellers.
Fortunately the delivery driver, who has remained anonymous, acted fast and contacted Featureworld immediately. Footage such as this is most wanted when it is in the news – even waiting a few hours to sell a video can mean there is diminished interest in it.
I was able to immediately contact the right person at Mail Online and within an hour the footage was on Mail Online. Needless to say the delivery driver was paid for doing nothing more than sending me the clip!
Using Featureworld rather than attempting to hike a video round to many publications yourself, ensures it can be sold for the highest price straightaway. And it also ensures contracts are in place so the person who took the video retains copyright. This means every time Featureworld sells the video that person is paid again!
