Mum of two Maria Butzki’s story about how she moved lover Peter into the marital home – to live with her husband Paul and their two children – appears in the SUNDAY MIRROR newspaper…
What would you do if you couldn’t choose between your lover and your husband?
Maria met Paul when she was 15 – at 17 she got accidentally pregnant with their first child and when she was eight months pregnant they wed.
They had a daughter Laura and then three years later another daughter Amy.
However in 2006 Paul was out of work for six months. Their relationship went downhill and through her work, Maria met Peter. Despite him also being married, they began an affair.
On Valentine’s Day 2010 Maria finally decided to move out of the family home to live with lover Peter. Paul was devastated and so were the kids. But, like many separated parents, they shared care of the children and so still saw one another.

Within months however, Maria was fretting she’d made a mistake because although she loved Peter, she missed her husband. After work she would also go and cook for Paul and the kids ant then go home to Peter and do the same. She was living a double life.
The two men gradually became friends – it seemed easier rather than cooking in two households to do one meal a day for everyone. So they started to have dinners together and going on holidays together. The two men even went fishing together.
In 2012 Peter had to go away on business and Maria moved back in with her husband. It was supposed to be temporary arrangement – and Peter was quite happy and trusting about it – but then Maria fell back in love with her husband. She told Peter she was going back with her husband. Nevertheless Peter was devastated and it was then Maria realised she loved both of them.
Lover Peter now comes round to the house and regularly stays the night. The three of them never share a bed together. Maria sleeps with both of them separately. So if Paul is out she might have sex with Peter and vice versa. Of course both men know she is sleeping with both of them but it isn’t made obvious to either.
They are now about to buy a bigger house where they can all live as a family. Maria says the kids love both their dad and her lover. She feels so lucky as this way she has the best of both worlds.
Of their story in the newspaper, Maria said: “We never expected the story to look so good. The pictures are lovely the title is very catchy!”
