Daily Mail story for sisters…
Multiple deals are one of the options people selling a story ask about when they come to Featureworld for advice.
Sisters Ellie Fairfax and Siobhan Terry wanted the widest publicity possible as they have a very important reason for telling their story to the press – they want to raise awareness of cervical cancer and the importance of having regular smear tests.
Sadly Siobhan Terry was diagnosed with cervical cancer after she’d put off having a regular smear. Treatment then left the mum of one infertile.
But poignantly sister Ellie Fairfax stepped in to help as a surrogate and offered to have a baby for Siobhan. She is now pregnant with Siobhan’s husband’s sperm and expecting a baby very soon. When the little boy is born, he will be handed to Siobhan.
This gained more coverage for the sisters’ chosen charity Jostrust, which gives advice and support to women who are diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Their amazing story has now been placed with two magazines…
